How we are creating work for 1 million people
Nepal is about to be home to the largest factory in the world, a factory in the cloud where anyone across Nepal with an Internet connection will be able to come work and earn cold-hard rupees. The platform has been under development for 19 months and is launching at Techcrunch Disrupt in September. But Barcamp attendees will get the first sneak peak of how we are creating basic computer work for 1 million people across developing nations. The idea was born in Nepal, the Ruby on Rails project was built here in Nepal and next year the first cloud workers will be raised up in Nepal before expanding the program to other developing nations.
